Terms of Service

1. The Service

OFFMAT is a jiu-jitsu training platform for logging sessions, organizing techniques and game plans, preserving training memory, reflecting on progress, connecting with academies and other athletes, communicating, and using optional AI-assisted coaching tools. Features may change as the Service develops.

You may use the Service only in compliance with these Terms and applicable law.

2. Your account

Provide accurate information, keep credentials and verification codes confidential, and notify us if you believe your account has been compromised. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless it resulted from our failure to protect the Service.

Do not create deceptive accounts, impersonate another person or academy, automate abusive access, interfere with security controls, scrape private information, reverse engineer restricted parts of the Service, or use OFFMAT to violate another person’s rights.

3. Training and health safety

Brazilian jiu-jitsu, strength work, recovery activity, nutrition changes, and competition involve real risk. OFFMAT records information and offers organizational guidance; it does not supervise training or make physical activity safe.

Use your judgment, follow academy and competition rules, respect tapping and consent, stop when something feels unsafe, and seek qualified coaching or medical care when appropriate. OFFMAT does not diagnose, treat, or prevent injury or illness.

4. AI guidance

AI Coach and related features can produce incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable responses. They are supportive tools, not authorities, and are not medical, legal, or professional advice. Do not rely on an AI response for an emergency, injury diagnosis, guaranteed result, or decision that requires a qualified professional.

You are responsible for reviewing guidance before acting on it and for avoiding confidential information that is not yours to share.

5. Community content and conduct

You keep ownership of content you create. You grant OFFMAT a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, copy, process, adapt for technical delivery, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the features and audiences you choose.

Do not post, send, or promote:

• harassment, threats, hate, sexual exploitation, or instructions that create a credible risk of harm;
• non-consensual intimate content, child sexual abuse material, grooming, or predatory behavior;
• spam, scams, malicious code, credential theft, or deceptive commercial activity;
• content that violates privacy, publicity, intellectual-property, or other legal rights; or
• dangerous misinformation presented as medical or guaranteed training advice.

Use in-app report and block controls when available, or contact support@offmat.app. We may review reports, limit distribution, remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts, preserve evidence, or contact authorities where reasonably necessary. See our Child Safety Standards.

6. Academies and competitions

Academy names, memberships, roles, schedules, competition entries, and community posts may be submitted by users or academy administrators. Unless OFFMAT explicitly marks information as verified, it may be incomplete or outdated. OFFMAT is not an academy, governing body, tournament operator, or substitute for official event information.

Academy administrators must use their access only for legitimate academy operations and must respect athlete privacy and applicable law.

7. Current release availability

The current public release does not offer in-app purchases or subscriptions. Features shown as available in this release are included without a checkout flow. If OFFMAT introduces paid services later, we will provide clear terms before a user is charged.

8. Ownership and licenses

OFFMAT’s software, brand, visual design, original content, and service materials are owned by OFFMAT or its licensors and are protected by applicable law. These Terms give you a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the Service; they do not transfer ownership of OFFMAT intellectual property.

Feedback may be used to improve OFFMAT without payment or attribution, provided we do not claim ownership of your underlying personal content.

9. Suspension and account deletion

You can initiate account deletion through Settings→Delete Account or use the external request path on our Delete Account page. Deletion is processed server-side and is not described as complete until OFFMAT confirms completion. Limited non-identifying shared structure or legally required records may remain as explained in our Privacy Policy.

If an account owns an academy, academy ownership must first be transferred or the academy must be handled through the separate supported process.

We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate misconduct, comply with law, or enforce these Terms. We will use proportionate measures and provide notice where appropriate and legally permitted.

10. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided on an “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, OFFMAT disclaims implied warranties that are not legally required. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, a particular athletic result, permanent availability of user-submitted material, or error-free AI output.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OFFMAT is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

11. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms when the Service or applicable law changes. We will publish the updated text and date here and provide additional notice where required. Continued use after an update takes effect means you accept the revised Terms, except where law requires another form of consent.

Applicable law and courts with lawful jurisdiction govern disputes, subject to any non-waivable consumer protections that apply where you live.
